Precision Search for Web Services Using Process Ontologies
Abstract
The ability to rapidly locate useful services (e.g. on-line software
applications, software components, process models, or service
organizations) - as opposed to simply useful documents - is becoming
critical in many domains as the sheer number of such services
increases,. Current service retrieval technology is, however,
notoriously deficient in this regard, missing relevant matches
as well as returning volumes of irrelevant matches. This talk
describes a novel, ontology-based approach that exploits expressive
service models and a process ontology to enable high-precision
service retrieval.
